Environmental Education

What We Aim For

Environmental education is one of FUDEBIOL’s core pillars. Through educational programs and hands-on experiences, we aim to raise awareness among children, youth, and adults about the importance of protecting the water, forests, and biodiversity of the Quebradas River watershed.

At FUDEBIOL, environmental education is built on four core objectives of the foundation:

To protect water springs that supply San Isidro de El General.

Promote sustainability within the Quebradas River watershed.

Educate and raise community awareness, especially children and students.

FUDEBIOL supports scientific studies on biodiversity, water springs, flora, and fauna.

Programs and Activities

FUDEBIOL develops workshops, guided tours, talks, and events such as Water Fair and Arbor Day, designed for children, youth, and adults to learn about water conservation, biodiversity, and forests. Each activity combines education, hands-on nature experiences, and environmental awareness.

Guided tours for schools and colleges
Guided educational walks along interpretive trails, where students
learn about plant and animal life, ecosystems, and the importance of water.
Environmental workshops and presentations
Activities designed for groups, institutions, and businesses focused on conservation,
recycling, climate change, and sustainability.
Water Festival
An annual event that brings together hundreds of people through recreational and cultural activities
and educational activities that encourage the responsible use of water.
Tree Day
A tree-planting and educational event that fosters respect for the forest
and highlights the importance of preserving forest cover.
Nature Learning School
A space designed for hands-on learning, ideal for workshops,
training sessions and educational programs set in the heart of the forest.

Community Impact

Every year, hundreds of children, young people, and visitors take part in our programs, strengthening their connection with nature and developing habits that help protect the environment. Environmental education allows us to multiply our efforts and build a culture of conservation that will last for generations
