Celebrating life and Mother Earth
FUDEBIOL’s events promote environmental education, community involvement, and a love for nature. Each activity is designed to connect children, young people, and adults with the conservation of water, forests, and the biodiversity of the Quebradas River basin.
Water Festival
The Water Fair takes place every March in celebration of World Water Day. It brings together hundreds of students, families, and organizations for activities like theater performances, educational games, guided trail walks, and the Water Tour. Its goal is to highlight the importance of responsible water use and the protection of this vital resource.
Tree Day
In June, we celebrate Tree Day, an event that highlights the importance of forests and conservation. The day includes tree planting, educational presentations, guided forest walks, and cultural activities for the whole community.
Traditional Christmas Dinner
Each year, we host our Traditional Christmas Dinner, a special gathering where members, friends, and partners come together to celebrate the year’s achievements. More than a celebration, it’s an opportunity to strengthen community ties and renew our commitment to protecting the watershed.
Environmental Workshops and Community Events
Throughout the year, we host talks, training sessions, and special activities focused on sustainability, biodiversity, and water conservation. These initiatives support ongoing learning and help engage institutions, businesses, and community groups.
“Teaching people to care for the environment is teaching them to care for life itself.”
Wangari Maathai, Nobel Peace Prize laureate and environmental advocate
Environmental education is a quiet but powerful force. Every child who learns to respect a tree, every young person who understands the value of water, and every individual who chooses to care for their surroundings becomes a guardian of the future. Our work goes beyond sharing knowledge—it builds awareness, inspires change, and nurtures hope for a healthier planet for generations to come.

With your support, FUDEBIOL continues to protect the mountains, forests, and natural springs that provide water to thousands of people in Pérez Zeledón.

FUDEBIOL is an environmental foundation in Pérez Zeledón.
